IU Youth 2 Children Project Is changing India at grass root levels

IU Youth 2 Children Project | Join hands to Volunteer | www.iuy2c.org
Education is the transmission of civilization. Education is more than a luxury; it is a responsibility that society owes to itself. It is none, but we who are responsible for the world!

The literacy rate is increasing each year, but at a rate which requires 100 more years to attain 100% literacy rate. There is a lot of talk about education in today’s world, but how many are actually educated? Can we ever imagine a world full of educated people? In spite of having broad minded people at every corner of the world, reaching out to people just at the finger touch, countries united, a new revolution emerging each day and much more, every person beams a smile instinctively at the very thought of an “educated world.”

Some people just dream, but some make dreams turn into reality. 4 volunteers from Bangalore named themselves as Distant Dreamers and had a clear motive to reach out to as many underprivileged kids as possible. They set out to involve many volunteers and take permissions from government schools to carry out IU-Y2C project. Students were coached about basics of cleanliness, good habits, importance of education, initials of internet and its applications and developing positive attitude. The experience was truly enriching. It inspired kids, gave courage for the volunteers to speak on stage and instilled passion on both the ends. The experience and learning was mixed but had an emotional touch to it.  The feeling of having taught someone
and being one of the reasons for the progress of the country is impossible to pen down.

Some of the stories of kids touched the volunteers’ hearts and drove them to continue inspiring many kids. The volunteers were responsible for reaching a massive number of 65 schools, addressing up to 13,059 children in a matter of 5 days. Hats off to Harikiran, Anusha, Harshitha, Hemanth , Vrushal , Shivraj, Rajath, Keerthan , Supreet, Viha , Chaitanya, Kruthika ,Ankitha , Meghana , Prerana , Mamta , Sandeep , Chandrakanth , Shivakumar , Pushpak , Sachin and Kavya for their brilliant work and immeasurable efforts.

If every individual stands up to bring about a change and works vigorously towards it, then “educated India” will no longer be a distant dream.

IU NewsPaper Bag Project Creates waves! 4000 Newspaper Bags made within a WEEK!

Article contributed by Spoorthi MC

"You don't make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You make progress
by implementing ideas."

Everyone is aware of the harm caused by plastic bags. A simple initiative to reduce the usage and effect of plastic bags by replacing them with newspaper bags started as "IU Newspaper Bag Project", a simple step towards saving the planet. This idea has been implemented in various places by engaging people to make newspaper bags using old Newspapers. Once again, it was put into action by a bunch of 6 people who conducted this project from 16 volunteers.

Six people, Mohan B.N, Surendra Ayer, Aditi Dhanakshirur, Nikhil Kanchan, Pavada Bassaiyya and Spoorthi M.C took the initiative to spread the message and create an impact. They took a target to make 1000 newspaper bags but the result exceeded the target. They have been the cause to impact 3452 people in three countries India, Nepal and Latvia. In India, three districts from Karnataka, Mangalore, Bangalore and Kundapura actively involved in bringing about the change. A total of 18 Institutions showed their support by involving their students and teachers in making beautiful newspaper bags.

In a relatively short span of time these young enthusiastic people could make 3031 Newspaper bags!!!
That is 3031 plastic bags shunned! A victory over the complaints and cribbing that nothing can be done. This campaign inspired many to ACT. The message spread across to many people and duplicated. The awareness was spread through social networking sites as well. They reached hundreds of people online and offline creating a huge impact and changing the mindset of people to become sensitive to the issue of harmful effects of plastics.

With the support of 50 volunteers this campaign was conducted in various places. They have contributed to sensitize people towards the cause. They have spread the message to people of all walks of life. Children, students, housewives, working professionals, teachers and old people equally participated to BE THE part of this massive CHANGE. The volunteers did a great job in reaching out to people and spreading the message through ACTION. Their work should be appreciated and applauded. Together with volunteers, the team has done an awesome job in resonating the message and enlightening people.

Nature has selfless model of encasing the entire class of living beings in a beautiful and magical environment. It’s time we stop disrupting the framework and respect the essence and beauty of the gift. If a bunch of six people could dedicate their time to make a difference, everyone can do it. Let us all act before it's too late. Let’s realize before it becomes too critical. Let us begin before it ends forever. Now is the time to take an extra step to reverse the harm done and restore the beauty back and say "Live and Let Live" because, "The world has enough for everyone's need, but not enough for everyone's greed."

We took a break to sharpen our AXE!

Every company during it's formation stage, undergoes phases where it discovers it's strengths, weaknesses, right people and pillars to rely on, visions to march towards and core values to stand on. We at IU have undergone the same in these few months.

At Inspiration Unlimited we are a team of young Enthusiasts working towards a vision to trigger the youth towards executing revolutionary work that inspires the generations to come. The plight of youth today is not in the best state it should have been with the progress the world has made. The previous generation of  leaders have somewhere failed to empower the youth with the best value systems, though they tried hard to envision empowered youth.

The youth needs more leaders and above all needs leaders who can shape leaders in them, and help them realize their leadership potential. They need mentors who can help them be the leaders of tomorrow the world is waiting to see.

At IU in these few months we have sharpened the AXE and developed different wings of ours to ensure we keep triggering the inspiration in all, before it dies out to inspire more and more action in the youth. We believe that everyone can be a leader if they keep fueling themselves enough at the right time, with the right thoughts, perceptions, attitudes, skills and experiences.

We have loads of news being generated every single day and hour. There is progress of different kinds happening. We are onlooking to work with some really good companies. Each team member of ours is more empowered with leadership to serve the clients better.

IU Clubs, Web Solutions, Social Media Solutions or the IU Talks or the various wings of IU Projects that work towards better society have taken better shape. The systems of IU are developing strong and we shall soon see IU being a brand in every state of the country and many countries globally known to trigger inspiration in masses through various channels and media.

We wish to see you, your family and friends inspired!
